Re: Pension Board Trustee Elections

Dear Pension Fund Members:

The nomination process for candidates to run for the pension board trustee position whose 3 year term begins January 1, 2003 is now complete. We have two fire fighters who have been nominated and have agreed to run for this pension board trustee position. They are Kenneth Cox and Greg Nye. A biography of the fire fighters running for this position will accompany the ballots which will be distributed as outlined below. As mentioned in our earlier letter of September 17, 2002, trustee elections will be held as follows:

Elections - November 4th through November 20th
For active pension plan participants as of November 4, 2002, ballots are scheduled to be distributed through the "pony" during the week of November 4th. Ballots will be distributed to the firefighters at their respective stations or divisions and should be completed no earlier than November 4, 2002. The ballots are then to be returned in the pre-postage paid envelopes to the pension office by mail and should be post marked no later than November 20th. For retirees, the ballots will be distributed by mail and can be returned to the pension office by mail also post marked no later than November 20th. Please notify the pension office in a timely manner if your ballot is not received in order to vote on time. As soon as results are available, they will be made known.
