Re:               Pension Board Trustee Elections

Dear Pension Fund Members:

The nomination process for candidates to run for the pension board trustee position whose 3 year term begins January 1, 2013 is now complete. We have four fire fighters who have been nominated and have agreed to run for this pension board trustee position. They are James Evans, James Fedro, Rodger Miller and Stephen Truesdell. A biography of the fire fighters running for this position will accompany the ballots which will be distributed as outlined below. As mentioned in our earlier letter of August 20, 2012, trustee elections will be held as follows:

Elections - November 1st through November 16th

For both active and retired fire fighters:  ballots are scheduled for distribution by regular mail to the active and retired fire fighters’ home addresses during the week of November 1st.  The ballots are then to be returned in the pre-postage paid envelopes to the pension office by mail and should be post marked no later than November 16th. As soon as the ballots are tabulated, the official result of the count will be made known to our membership.

Run-Off – If necessary, December 3rd through December 14th

If no nominated member receives a majority of the votes cast per above, there will be a run-off between the two nominated members with the highest number of votes. Ballots would again be scheduled for distribution by the above mentioned dates and procedures. They should be returned by mail and post marked no later than December 14th. Results will be made known as soon as possible.
