Re: Pension Board Trustee Elections

Dear Pension Recipients:

The nomination process for candidates to run for the pension board trustee position whose 3 year term begins January 1, 2004 is now complete. We have one fire fighter that was nominated by the deadline of October 15th and who has agreed to run. The fire fighter nominated under the timeline set by October 15th was Mike Sullivan. We have been advised that according to our pension statute, although we have one candidate on the ballot, the election process must still be conducted as usual.

Elections - November 3rd through November 20th
For both active and retired fire fighters:
ballots are scheduled for distribution by regular mail to the active and retired fire fighters’ home addresses during the week of November 3rd.
The ballots can be returned to the pension office by regular mail in the pre-postage paid return envelopes to be provided, and should be post marked no later than November 20th. As soon as the ballots are tabulated, the official result of the count will be made known to our membership.

The cooperation and assistance of our entire membership is greatly appreciated by your pension board during this busy time. If you have any questions, please contact our office.
